As the ever more acrimonious divorce of Lady Heather Mills and Sir Paul McCartney trundles on, Heather Mills has taken to the airwaves in the US to claim that she has the full support of the British public in her fight for a fair divorce settlement.
If Ms Mills is so sure that she has the support of the British public, why did she run to America to announce this?
Each new day seems to bring a new claim and counter claim from the warring factions, although with potential assets of £800 million up for grabs, this may explain why Ms Mills appears to be using every tactic to hand. While Sir Paul’s adviser have kept a dignified silence for some time, the Heather Mills camp seem to be taking on every photo opportunity, and every TV appearance to publicise their side of the story.

Illusionist David Blaine seems to have a death wish, if his latest event is anything to go by. In what must be one of the strangest stunts of all time Blaine will be placed in shackles and suspended 50ft above New York, in a spinning gyroscope. While that in itself is difficult, prior to attempting to break out of the shackles Blaine will be spending 2 days, spread eagled, inside the spinning object!
The gyroscope has been fitted with a motor to ensure that it will be moving for the full 48 hours, ensuring that if Blaine manages to sleep (which experts say is impossible) the sphere will still be spinning and rotating. As he will probably be spinning for the full 2 days, his body will not be able to adapt to sleep nor will he be able to eat or drink (without repercussion!).
The stunt has been arranged in conjunction with two charities:- the Salvation Army and Target with 100 children in need likely to receive a surprise Christmas present, although details of the presents have yet to be released. Past exploits from Blaine include spending a week inside a glass coffin; being encased in ice and even suggestions of something unsavory with a pig. In Blaine’s last major event he was suspended over a glass box in London for 44 days, during which time he was taunted with food and drinks from the crowds below.

The “Take That” comeback continues to go from strength to strength. Having split up ten years ago, the band reformed earlier this year and had a sell-out tour. Band members Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald played at venues across the UK, giving old and new fans the chance to enjoy the likes of “Relight My Fire”, “Babe”, “How Deep is Your Love?” and “Back for Good”. Ex-band member, Robbie Williams, even “performed” at the gigs (albeit in hologram form).
The tour was a glittering success and the guys have topped that with a Number 4 entry into the UK singles charts, with “Patience”. They beat Robbie who is number 8 with his song “Lovelight”. Will Gary and Robbie be able to kiss and make-up?

The wedding, carried out by a Scientology Minister, seals the 18-month relationship between 44-year old Cruise and his 27 year old bride. There has been much interest in the couple, with some even speculating that their baby Suri did not exist!
