After 18 days in the jungle, Matt Willis was surprisingly crowned King of the Jungle after a mass swell in support over the last few days. Long time favorites Jason Donovan and MyLeene Klass fell by the wayside, although Ms Klass did claim a well earned second place and unofficial “Queen of the Jungle”.

What a time, with so many great moments including :-

This show has been strangely addictive as we watched the “celebrities” stripped of their pampered lifestyles layer by layer, until they learn to come to terms with the most basic of conditions. The bush tucker trials have been some of the worst seen on the series to date, but the contestants seem to be getting braver and braver. You have to take you hat off to some of the winning trials, which were truly awful at times.

Mat Willis suddenly came into his own over the last week, after being quiet for much of the initial period. His chirpy character, wicked laugh and will to win finally shone through and he was a worthy winner.

A special mention must also go to David Gest who had been pilloried in the media, but if we have learnt anything from this series it is, don’t always believe what you read in the media. So how will Mr Gest be welcomed by the press now?
