Even though the life of Anna Nicole Smith has never been “normal”, it took a tragic turn for the worse today when she was found unconscious in a hotel room. While the background to the incident is still sketchy, unfortunately her team and medics were not able to resuscitate her and she was later tragically pronounced dead.

While only 39 years old when she died, she has been through more in her short time than 99% of the population go through in a life time. Born to Donald Eugene and Virgie Hart Hogan, Vickie Lynn Hogan (as she was born) led a varied life taking in Playmate of the Year 1993, Acting, Business and her bizarre marriage to 89 year-old oil tycoon Howard Marshall in 1994.

Marshall died the following year and she inherited his fortune of some $400 million, much to the dissatisfaction of his family. While various lawsuits have ensued, she has held onto the vast majority of the estate, although more legal action was planned. While she has a daughter, she tragically lost her son in September last year, something which she never really recovered from.

She has been ridiculed by the vast majority of the media although she has recently shown herself to be more than able to hold her own in the business world. Her life has also been dogged by rumours of lesbian love affairs, drug abuse not to mention her rollercoaster weight problems.

How ironic she should be found in a room at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Hotel and Casino, having encountered her last spin on the roulette wheel of life.
