It is the ultimate nightmare scenario for Britney Spears, a situation which is sure to get her “Legal Eagles” working overtime, as her estranged husband K-Fed is offered $200,000 to appear in the forthcoming Celebrity Big Brother *.

K-Fed has been ridiculed in the US press as Ms Spears’ publicity machine goes into over drive, in an attempt to stain his character and ensure that he plays only a small part in the life of their two boys. He has recently commented that overnight he has become America’s most hated man, as the US public rush to stand behind the “wronged” Ms Spears.

The 28 year old K-fed is said to be interested in the show as his recording career hits new depths, and he strives to resurrect his life. If he joins the House, the subject of Britney is sure to be top of the list with many in the UK unaware of the exact details of the breakup. He has recently commented publicly on their varied sex life, and other aspects which Ms Spears would rather keep out of the public eye. What odds that he will spill the beans live on air?

The producers are currently finalising the participants and confirmation of the line up is expected over the next few weeks. I would expect Channel 4 (who produce the show in the UK) will be hearing from Britney’s Lawyers over the coming days.

* In the UK reality show, celebrities are removed from society, and their pampered lifestyles, and moved into a large house with sizeable garden. The house members are voted off one by one until we have a winner, who will claim the prize money for their chosen charity. There is a lack of privacy in the house with all rooms open plan, and communal bedrooms. There are various tasks set with the prize of extra food, treats, alcohol etc adding to the friction and arguments. The show pulls in massive viewing figures worldwide as the celebrities struggle to adapt to the often claustrophobic environment.
